Louisville BeSpoke Fashion Show Spring 2017 Review
May 09, 2017
Louisville, KY, a city and state known for College Basketball. Especially in the month of March, when all of the madness is in full effect. I had the pleasure of being at Louisville BeSpoke Fashion Show Spring 2017 that took place at the Speed Art Museum in Louisville, KY on Friday.
Who would’ve known Louisville had amazing talent in fashion as well?
Well if you didn’t know, Louisville BeSpoke did an amazing job proving that Louisville is a great place for innovated fashion this past Friday.

Yamilca Rodriquez is the founder of Louisville BeSpoke.
Louisville BeSpoke’s main mission is to be a collaborative space to reawaken the fashion craft. If you want to learn, buy and be a part of fashion, well, Louisville BeSpoke is perfect for you!
It is truly a fashion hub for Louisville’s finest fashion designers, entrepreneurs and artists in the industry.
Louisville BeSpoke’s Vision: To provide a studio space and classroom space with sewing machines and worktables for designers, artists, and entrepreneurs to collaborate and share ideas. The space is a unique and innovative regional hub that has the potential to include DAAP, the University of Cincinnati Design School, UK’s College of Design, and the Speed School at UofL. All integrating diverse ideas, in order to foster the next wave of businesses and reawaken the fashion craft!
So, if you need a space to be able to express your fashion creativity, you know who to connect with. It amazes me every time I get introduced to amazing businesses and spaces such as this that you wouldn’t know existed here in Louisville.
I have been to many local fashion shows and can say that this fashion show was put on in a very professional and amazing way that left me wanting to know when the next one was.
All clothing designers who were a part of the show were actually based out of Louisville, so it gave a chance for Louisville Creatives to showcase their talent.

And, In true Chelsea Ellis fashion, when I went to this event I was truly amazed because it showcased many amazing entrepreneurs and business owners from Louisville BeSpoke to all of the designers listed below. Videographers and artists were part of the event and more. It gave us a chance to buy and spend with people in our own community, which I support to the fullest.
All people who followed their dreams and goals to do what it is they are truly passionate about.
It’s fun and all to shop with these big million dollar brands, but how amazing is it to support someone who is from where you are from and following their dreams and goals?

& One thing I loved most about the many designers that were part of the show was that all of the lines were completely different. From Ali & Maya’s custom wooden historic bowties, cannonball swimwear and bare-naked leather wear as well it all kept your attention on what design was next.
The amazing models did an amazing job as well, walking the runway and leaving you mesmerized. I left the event feeling as if I had left a New York or Paris Fashion Show.
I enjoyed the performance by Louisville KY artist Shania Robinson as well. She is an upcoming artist that definitely captured the audience’s attention.

Videography and photography were also taken by a great business partner of mine by the name of Roman Lane. Let’s just say that when Roman Lane is a part of the videography team, you know it’s going to be some amazing footage!
I can truly say that I left Louisville BeSpoke Fashion Show entertained, inspired and ready for more! If you want to learn more about Louisville BeSpoke be sure to checkout their KickStarter Campaign and support their amazing mission.
Similar to my mission with The Chelsea Ellis Show and Fail to Success they are showcasing people who are turning their dreams into reality.
